Teens & Adolescents

Teen Therapy & Parenting Support.

Being a kid or teenager today is not easy. Pressure at school. Social stress. Anxiety. Mood changes. Identity questions. Feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or emotionally stuck.

Many children and teens struggle silently while trying to hold it together on the outside. As a parent, it can be painful and confusing to watch your child struggle while feeling unsure how to help.

You may notice emotional outbursts, withdrawal, low motivation, school refusal, anxiety, anger, or changes in behavior and not know what’s underneath it all.

At Path Forward Therapy, we provide therapy for children and teens in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where they can begin to feel understood, emotionally grounded, and more confident in themselves.

We work with children, adolescents, and families dealing with:

- Anxiety and stress

- Depression and low motivation

- Emotional regulation difficulties

- School pressure and school refusal

- Social struggles and peer relationships

- Self-esteem and confidence issues

- Life transitions and family changes

- Grief and loss

- Divorce and family conflict

- Behavioral concerns and emotional overwhelm

Our approach is personalized for each child and teen. Some young people need space to talk openly. Others communicate better through creativity, structure, humor, or interactive approaches. We use evidence-based therapies including CBT, mindfulness, play-based techniques, emotional regulation work, and family support to help children and teens better understand themselves and build healthier coping skills.

Therapy is not just about reducing symptoms. It’s about helping young people feel safer in their own minds, more connected to themselves, and more capable of handling life’s challenges.

We also work closely with parents and caregivers throughout the process. Parenting does not come with a manual, and every child has different emotional needs, personalities, and struggles.

Whether you are dealing with emotional outbursts, communication difficulties, anxiety, behavioral concerns, or feeling exhausted trying to hold everything together, parenting support can help you respond with more clarity, calm, and confidence. You do not have to figure this out alone.

Together, we can help your child and your family move forward in a healthier and more connected way.
