Gabriella Wolfmuller

It’s incredibly hard to admit when there’s a problem or aspect of your life that you can no longer manage without someone else’s support or guidance. Asking for help is the first and most crucial step in making meaningful change or growth. Seeking counsel is no small feat, and for some, it could change the trajectory of their life. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, defeated, frustrated, stuck in patterns that are hard to break, worried, tired, depressed— maybe it’s time to try something new. My role in our relationship is to walk the path forward with you to show you that life can actually feel good again.

I provide therapy for adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, substance use, and life transitions. During my years of clinical training, I counseled adolescents and adults in an inpatient setting through individual and group sessions. This work gave me invaluable experience supporting people facing both mental health and substance use disorders, along with a deep respect for the courage it takes to ask for help. We’ll explore different approaches to coping with difficult emotions and build on skills that will serve you for a lifetime.

For teens, therapy can feel like a chore at first, especially if it wasn't your idea. When we meet, I focus on building trust so that sessions feel safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental. For parents, reaching out on behalf of your child can feel like a big decision and cause a lot of stress for you and your family. This is normal and expected! I'm glad to talk with you about your concerns and what working together could look like.

I practice as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the state of New Jersey. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Trauma-Informed Practice to help you connect your thoughts to your emotions and behaviors. I am a graduate of Rutgers University where I received my Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Outside of work, I value time with my son and family, and I enjoy going for walks, going to the park, and coloring. If you're ready to take the next step, or simply have questions about the process, I kindly invite you to reach out. I look forward to connecting with you and learning about you.
