Kristy Castle

Licensed Clinical Social Worker | Certified Clinical Trauma Professional II| NASW Clinical Social Work Supervisor

Kristy joins Path Forward Therapy with over 18 years of dynamic and diverse post-masters clinical experience. She has spent the last 26 years in the social work and mental health field. Kristy is a deeply trauma-informed clinician dedicated to helping individuals navigate their unique healing journey. A Level Two Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Kristy specializes in working with women who have experienced trauma, guiding them toward peace, acceptance, and a more fulfilling life.

Throughout her career, Kristy has worked extensively with vulnerable and diverse populations, including those impacted by trauma, systemic oppression, and social marginalization. She is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and affirming space where individuals from all backgrounds can heal and thrive.

Kristy takes a holistic and integrative approach to psychotherapy, blending various psychodynamic modalities with mindfulness and somatic integration (body-based) techniques to support emotional and physical healing. She is particularly passionate about helping people take a bottom-up approach to healing using integrative somatic psychotherapy, allowing individuals to reconnect with their bodies, process stored trauma, and cultivate resilience.

Her work is deeply collaborative and client-centered, and she brings creativity, humor, connection, and playfulness into the therapeutic space. Kristy believes that the healing journey, while challenging, can also be a profound place of reclamation—a space where individuals rediscover their power, agency, and joy in many areas of life.

In addition to her clinical work, Kristy is passionate about supporting fellow therapists in finding evidence based, sustainable and fulfilling ways to practice psychotherapy. As a certified clinical supervisor since 2015, she provides guidance and mentoring to clinicians, emphasizing self-care, creativity and somatic approaches to prevent burnout and foster professional longevity.

Kristy earned her undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology from William Paterson University and her Master of Social Work from Fordham University. She is committed to continued growth in the mental health field, continually engaging in the most recent research and trainings related to trauma processing, somatic modalities and continually exploring new and effective approaches for supporting others on their healing journey, ensuring that her work remains innovative and effective.

Beyond the therapy room, Kristy is a strong advocate for social justice.  She is dedicated to creating inclusive, affirming spaces both in and out of her professional practice, working as an agent of change to promote equality and healing on a global level.

Kristy is excited to join Path Forward Therapy in a supervisory capacity to support the growth of both clients and clinicians alike.
