Phil Parish

I have been in the healthcare industry for over 10 years. I have been working across several levels of care for several years focused on adults with a variety of diagnoses.  My work is always focused on the specific needs of the individual - some common issues that I help clients work with are anxiety, depression, phase of life issues, and trauma. I have over a decade of experience working successfully with people from many different backgrounds.

My goal is always to have treatment be a collaborative process and not something that is done to a client. My approach is client-centered and is guided by your needs, interests, and strengths. All clients have unique challenges that are specific to their situation. I use a blend of approaches from several disciplines to best suit the specific needs of the individual and to build a solid foundation for change.

One of the most important factors of success in therapy is the client-therapist connection. Human beings have evolved to thrive in connection and understanding and I seek to cultivate this with my clients. My therapeutic style is warm and direct - I believe that a good therapeutic relationship is one of the keys to client success. I meet each individual where they are in their particular path of recovery.

I hold a Master’s of Social Work degree from Rutgers University. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Goucher College. I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) by the State of New Jersey. I have been working with clients for about five years.
